Custom Style Meets Everyday Function

What sets these shelves apart? The bold, art - forward wall brackets. Choose from three exclusive shapes - 6x8 rounded rectangles, hexagon, or circles - each designed to make a statement. Every bracket style comes in a variety of unique, artist-designed prints, adding a splash of color and personality to any room.

4 Easy to Hang Steps

Step 1: Attach Shelf Panel to the Brackets

Secure the birch wood shelf panel to your chosen set of brackets using the included screws.

Step 2: Find Your Wall Stud

Use a stud finder to locate a secure anchor point in your wall. (Don't have one? We've got you covered below.)

Step 3: Level Your Shelf

Use our Torpedo Level (available as an add-on) to make sure your shelf is perfectly straight.

Step 4: Mount to the Wall

Drill two simple screws through the bracket holes into the stud-and you're done!

Say goodbye to unreliable and unattractive plastic wall anchors. Our shelves are tailored to be mounted directly into wall studs, delivering superior strength and support. This method not only simplifies the installation process but also enhances safety and load-bearing capacity, so you can confidently display your favorite items.

How much weight can floating wood shelves hold?

The weight capacity depends on the type of wall and installation method. For maximum strength, always secure your shelf brackets into at least one wall stud. Heavy-duty anchors (like toggle bolts) can also be used in drywall.

Are floating shelves strong enough for books, plants, or kitchenware?

Yes — when properly installed, floating wall shelves can safely support books, plants, dishes, or décor. Just make sure the weight is evenly distributed.

Do I need wall studs to install floating shelves?

We recommend attaching brackets to studs whenever possible. If studs aren’t available, high-quality drywall anchors can be used, but the maximum weight rating only applies when mounted into studs.

What types of wood are best for floating shelves?

We use birch wood but the best option depends on your style and how much weight you plan to put on the shelf.

Can floating shelves be stained or painted?

Absolutely. Wooden wall shelves can be customized with stain, paint, or clear finish to match your décor.

How do I choose the right shelf depth?

Our Standard floating shelves range from 6”–8” deep. Shallower shelves are great for décor, while deeper shelves work well for books, dishes, or storage.

How far apart should floating shelves be spaced?

A good rule of thumb is 12–16 inches apart vertically, but spacing depends on what you’re storing. Taller items may require more space.

Can floating shelves be installed in bathrooms or kitchens?

Yes, wooden floating shelves look great in bathrooms and kitchens. Just be sure they are properly sealed to protect against humidity and moisture.

Will floating shelves warp or sag over time?

High-quality wood shelves with sturdy brackets should not sag when installed correctly. Be sure to follow weight limits and use proper mounting hardware.

Are floating shelves renter-friendly?

Floating shelves require drilling into walls, which may not be allowed in some rentals. Always check your lease or landlord’s policy before installation.
